We are currently recruiting Waiters to join our pre-opening team as we prepare to launch our new restaurant Holborn Dining Room in spring 2014.Under the creative direction of Des McDonald, Holborn Dining Room will bring a new and exciting culinary destination to London’s Midtown.

As a waiter, you will assist with the day to day running of the restaurant, and all additional duties that are associated with such a position.You will be expected to build and nurture relationships with your colleagues and to ensure you provide an engaging, intuitive and refined style of service to our guests.

We are looking for people who have, what we like to call, ‘the 51%’- this represents that which you cannot be taught, it’s your character and passion for our industry, your willingness to learn and give great service to each and every guest, always exceeding their expectations.While ‘the 51%’ cannot be taught, it can be honed and perfected, and that’s why we are looking for an individual with a sense of professionalism and eagerness to join and grow our family of hospitalitarians.

Holborn Dining Room

Bringing a vibrant, youthful atmosphere to the refined elegance of the historic setting, Holborn Dining Room will be a smart, bustling brasserie at the heart of the city with a classic menu of simple yet sophisticated British dishes, served alongside some excellent wines and cocktails.

Friends and colleagues can meet in the bar area of the restaurant for a local craft beer, an expertly-made cocktail or to sample the carefully-curated wine list.From there, they can enjoy the cuisine in the bar area, move into the dining area itself or sit outside on the Terrace, open all-year round. In a nutshell, the concept of Holborn Dining Room is simple - to create a home away from home for our guests where they feel comfortable and so, continue to return.

Renowned designer Martin Brudnizki dreamed up the smart interior, which draws on classic British design, mixing reclaimed oak with antique mirrors, leather upholstery and tweed details. The room, while stunning in its own right, is brought to life by the personalities and characters that fill it.An important part of this will be our team, and the relationships they develop with each other and our guests.

Location

Holborn Dining Room is housed in the original headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company, and recently opened luxury hotel Rosewood London after a sensitive transformation of a 1914 Edwardian, Grade II-listed building on High Holborn. Combining English heritage with contemporary sophistication, retained Belle Époque architectural features include the original carriageway entrance to the grand inner courtyard and a spectacular Pavonazzo marble staircase which rises over seven storeys. The hotel has the feel of a stylish London residence and houses 262 guestrooms and 44 suites.

All accommodation has been designed by Tony Chi and Associates, who also created the interiors of the public areas including the 11 event spaces and the Mirror Room, the hotel's elegant social dining salon serving a contemporary menu of refined cuisine.The Martin Brudnizki designed Bar offers delicious Indian curries and European-style casseroles with London’s most intriguing and extensive selection of drinks whilst the fitness suite and Sense® spa, provide a nurturing atmosphere of calm, soothing guests as they traverse wooden walkways over rippling water.
